Colorado’s U.S. Senatorial Candidates and their Perspectives on Health Care

Ralph Pollock: Member of the 2008 Health Care Reform Commission, CEO of AsiaPacific Access. He is on the board of the Denver Health Medical Plan, and the Colorado Association of Commerce and Industry where he chairs its Health Council.
The Program
It only takes a few moments on the candidate’s respective websites to see that, while they agree that the cost of health care is a huge problem, their views of the recent federal health care reform and its impact on the future of health care costs are quite dissimilar.
Attend CMCC’s September 14nth program to hear each candidate’s opinions about:
· Recent healthcare reform legislation,
· What they want to see changed or expanded,
· What they suggest as solutions to the high cost of health care, and
· What sorts of bills would they introduce or support in the future.
There will be time for questions from the audience so come prepared.
DATE: Tuesday, September 14th, 8:00 to 9:30 a.m.
Registration/Networking with a light breakfast will begin at 7:15 a.m.
PLACE: The Children's Hospital, 13123 East 16th Avenue, Aurora, CO 80045
Mt. Oxford Auditorium on the 2nd floor. Take elevators to the 2nd floor and walk straight ahead and to the right to find the Conference Center. Parking is available in the parking garage. No charge if you get your receipt validated at the front desk; otherwise it is $3.00.
EVENT COST: FREE to CMCC members.
There is a $25.00 entry registration fee to all NON-Members payable at the door via cash or check.

Ken Buck, Republican Candidate for U.S. Senate
Twice elected Weld County District Attorney, Ken Buck understands how important it is for public servants to do what’s right for the citizens they serve.

About our Moderator
Ralph Pollock, MPH
Ralph Pollock is the CEO of AsiaPacific Access, a company doing business in China. In addition to helping companies make products or components in China his present focus is economic/social sustainability in rural ethnic villages in Southwest China.
Pollock is a frequent presenter on health care market dynamics. He is on the board of the Denver Health Medical Plan, and the Colorado Association of Commerce and Industry where he chairs its Health Council. He is also on the boards of the Colorado Workers' Compensation Coalition, the Colorado Visiting Nurse Association and served on the Blue Ribbon Commission for Health Care Reform. Pollock holds a graduate degree in public health from the University of North Carolina.
