CMCC HISTORY...
Colorado Managed Care Contractors (CMCC) began as an extension of the Colorado Hospital Association (CHA) in 1994 to enhance the cohesive working relationships between contracting professionals in the rapidly changing managed care environment in the Colorado marketplace.
Philosophically, CMCC originating board members believed that Healthplans, hospital, physician and ancillary contractors share the responsibility of developing, negotiating and implementing strategic initiatives in pursuit of a common goal....create successful working models of contract negotiation, resulting in managing escalating healthcare costs.
CMCC has grown it's membership to over 300 paid members, comprised of Colorado healthcare contracting professionals, by offering valueable educational program material and presentations by local, regional and national industry experts.
To date, CMCC's Governing Board has grown to include 23 healthcare professionals, voluntarily contributing time, energy and resources to the ongoing vision, support and development of the organization.
We are proud of our success, recognized as a growth oriented professional healthcare organization, servicing the Colorado Managed Care community for over 15 years.
In 2011, CMCC officially changed its name to Colorado Managed Care Collaborative to better reflect our membership, Board, and guests.
